Domain Hybrid Day-Ahead Solar Radiation Forecasting Scheme

Recently, energy procurement by renewable sources has increased. In particular, as solar power generation a high penetration rate among them, radiation predictions at the site are attracting much attention for efficient operation. Various approaches have been proposed to forecast accurately. hybrid models improve performance through forecasting in frequency domain using past radiation. Since data pattern, can be effective. However, deteriorates on days when weather suddenly changes. this paper, we propose model that respond changes and exhibit improved performance. The consists of two stages. first stage, is performed wavelet transform, complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition, multilayer perceptron, while sequence accomplished light gradient boosting machine. second perceptron-based constructed values stage input. Compared with frequency-domain model, our exhibits an improvement up 36.38% normalized root-mean-square error.
